Yes, you can find it here. The Black Lion has been a public house for centuries, we want as many people as possible to be able to discover the building and it's charms. Our staff are always on hand to help and work with your needs or requirements.

Of course! We welcome dogs in all areas of the pub. If you would like to sit somewhere dog free just let us know.

Do you cater for special diets?

Absolutely. All our food is made from scratch on site so know exactly what's in it. We also always have two vegetarian options with vegan alternatives. A wide selection of our meals can also be made gluten free, take a look at our Sample Gluten Free Menu. It helps if you let us know of any special dietary requirements when you book.

All of our paper products are 100% recycled. We love composting. All of our food waste is recycled locally - even the crisp packets.

Our recent roof project added modern insulation to the building and we've upgraded our boiler. The investments reduce our oil consumption and prepare us for fossil-free heating.

Our suppliers

Working with local farmers and producers, we source the best meat and dairy products. We love to showcase a wide variety of beers from local breweries.
