    Bob & Carol welcome you to their pub, The Black Lion Inn. Nestling in the heart of the Manifold Valley, situated in Butterton, near Leek, we are in a lovely village setting, and are near many local attractions which offer something for the young and old alike.

    The Black Lion Inn has traditional open fires in three rooms where you can relax and enjoy a drink and meal and drink after a long day's walk. We also have pool room, darts room, and a large beer garden.

    Two for One menu

    Due to the overwhelming success of our "Two for One" menu, we have now extended our "two for one" offer across our entire menu (main courses only).

    Our menu contains fine steaks, vegetarian dishes, and a selection of children's meals. Our new two for one menu can be downloaded (requires Adobe Acrobat Reader). Bookings are welcome and large groups or parties, who can be accomadated in our dining room. In addition to our menu, we have also have a camper's special menu, main course & dessert, £10 per person (48 hours notice is required). This menu is only available to a minimum of ten people.

    Opening times:

    Monday - Friday 7pm - midnight. Food is served 7 - 9pm.
    Saturday: Lunch-time 12-2pm. Evening 7pm - midnight.
    Sunday: noon to midnight with food served all day.

    Weekday daytime opening shall commence from Easter.

    Accommodation

    We offer bed & breakfast accommodation in a traditional family run inn. We have two double rooms for £55 per night each, and a large family room for four people costing £100 per night.All rooms are en-suite.     How to find us........

    We are roughly 7 miles from Alton Towers, 7 miles from Leek, and 20 miles from Uttoxeter Race Course. For directions, we suggest visiting Via Michelin, using our postcode (ST13 7SP) as your destination. We have a large car park (for patrons only). Once you reach Butterton, head for the church which we are directly opposite.
